The Parishes Forum meeting on Thursday 05 December 2024 was scheduled to begin with a discussion about the forum's budget, and then move on to a discussion about emergency planning. This would be followed by conversations on a number of other issues relating to the Council's relationship with parish councils.

The forum was scheduled to receive a presentation from the City Council's Emergency Planning Officer.
Flooding and Resilience Groups
The forum was scheduled to receive a presentation from the City Council’s Flooding and Drainage Team.
LGA Code of Conduct / Expected Standards
This item was included on the agenda to allow the forum to discuss the Local Government Association's Model Code of Conduct 1 with officers.
Good News and Hot Issues
The agenda included an item titled Good News and Hot Issues / Together We Can
. This item was to allow an open discussion of issues raised by parish councils, including the progress of the Council’s Together We Can initiative2.

The Local Government Association’s Model Code of Conduct sets out the standards of behaviour expected of people who work in local government. It has seven principles that are meant to apply to all councillors and officers in all of their dealings on council business: Selflessness, Integrity, Objectivity, Accountability, Openness, Honesty, and Leadership. ↩

Together We Can was a consultation by Milton Keynes Council which invited people living or working in Milton Keynes to help shape the Council’s Corporate Strategy 2022-2026. ↩
