Budget Proposals 2025/26

The committee was scheduled to scrutinise the council's draft budget proposals before they are considered by the council's cabinet. The report pack included a financial forecast for the council.

The current General Fund forecast for 2024/25 is an overspend of £19.395m after applying the £14.400m Risk and Contingency provision previously held corporately. This acts as a buffer against in-year service pressures.

Petitions Update January - December 2023

The committee was scheduled to receive an update on all of the petitions submitted to the council between January and December 2023.

The committee was scheduled to receive an update on the work of the council's policy development committees. Each of the chairs of the committees was scheduled to give a verbal update.
