The Audit Committee meeting on 09 December 2024 was scheduled to receive a report on the External Auditor's Audit Completion Report for the years ended 31 March 2021, 31 March 2022 and 31 March 2023. The meeting was also scheduled to confirm the minutes of the previous meeting.
External Auditor's Audit Completion Report for the Years Ended 31 March 2021, 31 March 2022 and 31 March 2023
The Committee was scheduled to receive a report from the Director (Finance and IT) & Section 151 Officer 1 on the External Auditor's Audit Completion Report for the financial years ending 31 March 2021, 31 March 2022 and 31 March 2023. The report was to include:
the management representation letters, for consideration and approval, to enable a final opinion on those accounts and value for money arrangements to be formally issued by the External Auditor.

The Committee were scheduled to confirm the minutes of the previous meeting of the Audit Committee, held on 26 September 2024.

According to the Local Government Act 2000, most relevant local authorities must appoint an officer as the Section 151 Officer. Their responsibility is to report to the council any unlawful financial activity by the council.
