This meeting of the North Northumberland Local Area Planning Committee will include the confirmation of the minutes from the previous meeting and a report that will provide an update on the status of a number of planning appeals. The committee will also be asked to make a decision on an application for retrospective planning permission.

Land West Of Vale View, Whittingham

The committee will be asked to decide on an application for retrospective planning permission for the creation of an access road, a treatment plant and gas tanks serving a lodge in the Vale View development in Whittingham. The application site is located on the southern edge of the village, within the Whittingham Conservation Area.

The application seeks to retrospectively gain planning permission for:

• the creation of hard surfacing for vehicle parking and access to Plot 12/Lodge no.18;
• the installation of two 2200 litre capacity LPG tanks; and
• the installation of a subterranean sewage treatment plant.

The application also seeks to gain retrospective planning permission for the installation of two liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tanks and a sewage treatment plant.

Nine objections were received from local residents and the Whittingham, Callaly and Alnham Parish Council also stated their reluctance to support the application. One letter of support was received from the Vale View Residents Association.

The Council's report on the application recommends that it be granted conditional permission.

Planning Appeals

The committee will receive a report on the progress of a number of planning appeals. The report will detail the current status of appeals relating to applications that were previously considered by the committee.
