Budget Setting for 2025-26
The meeting will consider a report on the budget for 2025-26. This will include looking at how much money the council needs to deliver services over the course of the year. The report pack contains the following quote on the context for the decision:
The report sets out the proposed precept requirement for 2025-26 and seeks approval of the precept schedule to be submitted to the Welsh Government.
The report pack also contains a report on the Council Tax Base for 2025-26, which shows how many properties are in each Council Tax band in Monmouthshire. The information in this report will allow councillors to understand the impact of raising the Council Tax by different amounts.
