The Licensing Board of Thanet Council met on 11 June 2024 to discuss a range of issues, including the renewal of a private hire vehicle licence. The board decided to take no action regarding the suspension notice of the applicant's private hire vehicle licence.
Licence to Drive Private Hire Vehicles
The primary topic of discussion was the licence to drive private hire vehicles. Mrs Alison Stocker, the Licensing Officer, introduced the applicant and their representative. The applicant addressed Mrs Stocker, and members of the board asked questions to both Mrs Stocker and the applicant.
After a thorough discussion, the applicant and the licensing officers were asked to leave the room while the board deliberated. Upon their return, Ms Olaniyi, the Interim Principal Litigation Lawyer, read out the board's decision. The board decided to take no action regarding the suspension notice of the applicant's private hire vehicle licence. The decision was to be communicated to the applicant within five working days.
