The Islington Council Licensing Committee met on 10 June 2025 to discuss changes to the membership of the Licensing Sub-Committees. Councillor Heather Staff, Chair of Licensing Committee and Migrants Champion, was scheduled to chair the meeting.

Amendments to Sub-Committee membership

The Public reports pack 10th-Jun-2025 18.20 Licensing Committee included a report regarding amendments to the membership of the Licensing Sub-Committees.

The report recommended the following changes to sub-committee membership:

• For Licensing Sub-Committee B, that Councillor Bashir Ibrahim, Young People's Champion, be appointed Chair, Councillor Marian Spall, Armed Forces Champion, be appointed Vice-Chair, and Councillor Nick Wayne, Chair of Corporate Resources and Economy Scrutiny Committee, be appointed as a member.
• For Licensing Sub-Committee C, that Councillor Valerie Bossman-Quarshie be appointed Chair, Councillor Joseph Croft, Chair of Health, Wellbeing & Adult Social Care Scrutiny Committe and Mental Health Champion, be appointed Vice-Chair, and Councillor James Potts, Reading Champion, be appointed as a member.
• For Licensing Sub-Committee D, that Councillor Clare Jeapes, Recycling Champion, be appointed Chair, Councillor Paul Convery, Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee and the Pensions Committee, be appointed Vice-Chair, and Councillor Phil Graham be appointed as a member.
