The Bedfont and Feltham Area Forum met to discuss community safety, local action plans, and to hear from local community groups. The forum was also scheduled to discuss a petition requesting CCTV in Bedfont North. The meeting was preceded by an informal market place where residents could visit stalls from council services and community groups.
Petition for CCTV in Bedfont North
The forum was scheduled to discuss a petition requesting that Hounslow Council install CCTV in Bedfont North Close and the surrounding areas. The petition, which was submitted by Robin Kaushal, states that the request is due to an increase in house burglary and crime. The justification provided with the petition notes that an address in North Close, TW14 8JD has been burgled twice since last year, as has a house in West Road.
Community Spotlight
Two local groups, Positive Movement and Tale be Told Theatre, were scheduled to be featured in the Community Spotlight segment of the meeting.
Action Plan Updates
The forum was scheduled to receive updates on local action plans.
Open Forum
The agenda included an open forum, where members of the public could raise matters of local concern. According to the agenda, points raised would be noted and used to inform the work of the Area Forum. The protocols for the open forum state that speakers will be allowed at the Chair's discretion, with one contribution per person per item and one item per person per meeting normally allowed. Items on the main agenda should not be raised in the open forum.

The agenda also included items for any other urgent business and the date of the next meeting, which was scheduled for Thursday 25th September 2025.
Declarations of Interest
The agenda included a reminder to committee members to declare any pecuniary interests in matters being discussed, as required by the Members' Code of Conduct. The guidance note from the Monitoring Officer outlines the different types of interests that must be declared, including disclosable pecuniary interests (DPI) and other registerable interests. Members with a DPI must not participate in any discussion or vote on the matter, unless they have been granted a dispensation.
