The Senior Appointments and Pay Committee met on Tuesday 29 July 2025, and agreed to recommend the council's pay policy statement for 2025/26 to the full council for approval. They also noted an update on the re-establishment of the Schools Support Staff Negotiating Body (SSSNB).
Buckinghamshire Council Pay Policy Statement 2025/26
The committee agreed to recommend the Buckinghamshire Council Pay Policy Statement for 2025/26 to the Full Council for approval on 17 September 2025. The Pay Policy Statement sets out the council's approach to pay and remuneration for its employees. Pay policy statements are required to be published annually under the Localism Act 20111.
Schools Support Staff Negotiating Body Update
The committee noted an update on the re-establishment of the Schools Support Staff Negotiating Body (SSSNB). The SSSNB is a body that negotiates pay and conditions for support staff in Buckinghamshire schools. The committee noted the update and next steps regarding the reestablishment of the SSSNB.

The committee approved the minutes of the previous meeting held on 26 June 2025 as an accurate record. The confidential minutes of the meeting held on 26 June 2025 were also approved.
