The Licensing Taxi Panel of Newport Council met on Tuesday 2 September 2025 to discuss the Taxi Licensing Code of Practice and several private hire/hackney carriage licences. The panel was scheduled to consider excluding the press and public from part of the meeting to discuss confidential information. The meeting was scheduled to be held at the Council Chambers - Civic Centre.
Private Hire/Hackney Carriage Licences
The panel was scheduled to discuss several applications for private hire and hackney carriage licences. These were:
- An application relating to AH
- An application relating to BJ
- An application relating to MI
- An application relating to ZI, concerning both a Private Hire Vehicle Operator and a Private Hire Driver's Licence.
Taxi Licensing Code of Practice
The panel was scheduled to discuss the Taxi Licensing Code of Practice.
