The South Hams Audit and Governance (Hearing) Sub Committee met to discuss standards complaints and consider excluding the public and press from the meeting. Councillor Alison Nix, Councillor Ged Yardy, and Councillor Matt Steele were scheduled to be in attendance.
Exclusion of Public and Press
The committee was scheduled to consider a resolution to exclude the public and press from the meeting. The reason cited in the agenda frontsheet was to avoid disclosing exempt information, as defined in paragraph 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 19721.
That in accordance with Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public and press be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following items of business in order to avoid the likely disclosure to them of exempt information as defined in paragraph 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Act
Standards Complaints
The committee was scheduled to consider investigation reports for three standards complaints. These were:
- RP/544213
- RP/538496
- RP/536652
The agenda frontsheet for the meeting notes that the reports for these complaints were to follow.
