Summary
Here is a summary of the agenda for the Cabinet meeting of Bury Council on 10 September 2025. The Cabinet was scheduled to discuss the first quarter update to the Corporate Plan, the first quarter financial position, the Treasury outturn report, and performance reports for both adult and children's social care. Also on the agenda were a number of items relating to housing, including a recommendation from Six Town Housing1, and a major works programme.
Bee Active Travel Scheme
The Cabinet was scheduled to discuss a report from Councillor Alan Quinn, Cabinet Member for Environment, Climate Change and Operations, regarding the approval to direct award a contract for the delivery of the Fishpool Phase 2 and Pimhole Bee Active Travel schemes.
The Bee Network is Greater Manchester's plan for an integrated transport system, including walking and cycling routes. The report included a number of appendices, including plans for the Fishpool and Pimhole Phase 2, a summary of key comments from a community briefing, a consultation report, and an Equalities Impact Assessment.
Housing Matters
A number of housing-related items were on the agenda for discussion. These included:
- Six Town Housing Recommendation: The Cabinet was scheduled to consider a recommendation from Six Town Housing. An Equalities Impact Assessment was included as an appendix to the report.
- Housing Major Works Programme 2025/26: The Cabinet was scheduled to discuss the Housing Major Works Programme for the upcoming year.

The proposed PSPO would involve the installation of alley-gates.
