The Public Protection Sub-Committee of Trafford Council met on 11 September 2025. According to the agenda, the meeting was scheduled to discuss a new application for a private hire driver's licence. The committee was also expected to review the minutes from their previous meeting.
Application for New Private Hire Driver's Licence
The sub-committee was scheduled to review a report from the Head of Regulatory Services regarding an application for the grant of a new private hire driver's licence. Minutes
The sub-committee was scheduled to approve the minutes of the meeting held on 14 August 2025. At that meeting, with Councillor Keleigh Glenton, Vice-Chair of Licensing Committee in the chair, the sub-committee:
- Approved the minutes of the meeting held on 17 July 2025.
- Refused to renew the private hire driver's licence for Mr B.A.
- Issued a formal warning to Mr I. A. regarding future conduct.
- Refused to renew a private hire driver's licence because the applicant was not a fit and proper person.

The agenda for the meeting of the Public Protection Sub-Committee [scheduled time] included the following items:
- To note attendances, including officers and any apologies for absence.
- To consider questions from members of the public submitted in writing to Democratic Services.
- To discuss any urgent business.
