The Education and Children's Services Committee of Aberdeen City Council met on 16 September 2025 to discuss performance and risk management, educational updates, and children's services. The agenda included a review of the Performance Management Framework, inspection reports, the National Improvement Framework Plan1, the Community Learning and Development Plan, a Music Service update, a strategic outline business case for the Northfield Area Asset Review, the School Estate Plan Annual Update, and the Adoption Allowance Scheme. School Estate Plan Annual Update
The committee was scheduled to discuss the School Estate Plan Annual Update 2025. This included consideration of exempt information in Appendix C of the report.
Performance and Risk Management
The committee was scheduled to review several reports related to performance and risk. These included:
- Performance Management Framework Report: The committee was to discuss the Performance Management Framework Report.
- Inspection Reporting: The agenda included a discussion of inspection reports.
- Aberdeen City National Improvement Framework Plan: The committee was scheduled to discuss the Aberdeen City National Improvement Framework Plan.
- Community Learning and Development (CLD) Plan: The committee was to discuss the Community Learning and Development (CLD) Plan 2025-30. CLD is a broad term encompassing various educational approaches that focus on empowering individuals and communities through learning.
