The committee approved two applications relating to the Union Square Shopping Centre and Pannier Market Torquay.
P20250173MPA Union Square Shopping Centre and Pannier Market Torquay
The first application, P20250173MPA, sought permission for the installation of a canopy.
During the discussion, Councillor Mike Fox, Shadow Cabinet Member for Place Development and Economic Growth, raised concerns about the colour of the proposed canopy and its potential impact on the listed building.
The committee approved the application, but added a condition that the colour of the canopy be agreed upon by the planning officer.
P20250164LBC Pannier Market Union Square Market Street Torquay
The second application, P20250164LBC, was for listed building consent for internal alterations to the Pannier Market within the Union Square Shopping Centre.
