Torbay Council's Cabinet made several decisions at their meeting, including approving the Corporate Parenting Strategy following a consultation, awarding grants from the Community Grant Fund, and re-procuring a provider for the local Mental Health Helpline. They also discussed a report from the Children and Young People's Overview and Scrutiny Committee on youth provision and physical activity.
Community Grant Fund 2025
The Cabinet approved the allocation of funding from the Community Grant Fund 2025. The fund supports local organisations and initiatives that benefit the community.

Corporate Parenting Strategy
The Cabinet approved the Corporate Parenting Strategy following a consultation. The council has a Corporate Parenting responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of children in care and care leavers1. The strategy sets out how the council will fulfil this responsibility.
The consultation on the strategy involved feedback surveys, the results of which were presented in two appendices: Corporate Parenting Strategy App 1 Feedback Survey and Corporate Parenting Strategy App 2 Guidance Feedback Survey.
A Record of Decision document confirmed the approval of the strategy.
Mental Health Helpline
The Cabinet approved the re-procurement of the local Mental Health Helpline. This helpline provides support and advice to people experiencing mental health difficulties.

Youth Provision and Physical Activity
The Cabinet considered the Youth Provision and Physical Activity O S Report from the Children and Young People's Overview and Scrutiny Committee. The report examined the provision of youth services and opportunities for physical activity for young people in Torbay.
The Cabinet's response to the report is detailed in the Cabinet Response to O and S Youth Provision and Physical Activity document.
A Record of Decision document was created to record the decisions made in response to the report.
