The Lothian Valuation Joint Board met to discuss an interim assessor's progress report and the period four financial statement for 2025/26. They also approved the minutes from their previous meeting on 23 June 2025, and noted the minutes of the Governance and Strategy Group meeting held on 29 August 2025.

Interim Assessor's Progress Report

The board reviewed the Interim Assessor's Progress Report, which provided updates on various aspects of service delivery, priorities, risks, and future directions. These updates included information on:

• Postal and Proxy Voting
• Royal Mail
• Valuation Roll Maintenance
• Council Tax Maintenance
• The 2024 Revaluation Proposal Update
• Council Tax Appeals
• The Governance Strategy Group
• Annual Governance Statement
• Human Resources

The board was asked to note the contents of the report and its appendices, with the exception of appendix 5, which concerned the Disclosure Policy. The board had previously agreed that a decision on the Disclosure Policy would be deferred until a future meeting in September 2025, following engagement with Unison representatives.
