The Licensing Sub Committee (Taxis) of Redditch Council scheduled a meeting to discuss taxi and private hire vehicle licensing. The councillors were scheduled to consider applications for the renewal and grant of licences. The public and press were likely to be excluded from the meeting whilst these items were discussed.

Licensing Applications

The Sub-Committee was scheduled to discuss several licensing applications.

• An application for renewal of a licence to use a vehicle as a hackney carriage¹.
• Two applications for renewal of licences to use vehicles as private hire vehicles².
• An application for the grant of a licence to drive hackney carriage and private hire vehicles.

The Public Reports Pack stated that the public would be excluded from these discussions because they involved:

the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in the following paragraphs of Part 1 of Schedule 12 (A) of the said Act, as amended:

• Paragraph 1 – Any Individuals
• Paragraph 2 – Identity of Individuals
• Paragraph 3 – Financial or Business Affairs

Other Items

At the start of the meeting, the councillors were scheduled to elect a chair for the meeting. Councillors were also invited to declare any disclosable pecuniary interests or other disclosable interests they may have had in items on the agenda.
