September 18, 2025 View on council websiteSummary
The East Hampshire District Council Planning Committee met on 18 September 2025, to discuss planning applications in the region. The committee approved an application for a detached care home in Four Marks, while also considering and then ultimately refusing an application to build a detached house in Lasham. A decision on an outline planning application for a residential development of up to 67 dwellings in Liphook was deferred.
Here's a breakdown of the key discussions:
Poultry Farm, Chiltley Lane, Liphook
A decision on application 22789/007, an outline planning application for residential development of up to 67 dwellings at Poultry Farm, Chiltley Lane, Liphook, was deferred. The reason given was to allow the item to be considered when the Planning Committee is represented and addressed by elected members for the local ward.
Belford House, Lymington Bottom, Four Marks
The committee approved application 29550/037 for a detached care home with associated landscaping and car parking at Belford House, 93 Lymington Bottom, Four Marks. The application was approved subject to conditions, as detailed in the Public Reports Pack[^1].
The proposed building has been designed to integrate with the existing landscape, featuring a combination of two-storey and single-storey elements. 22 en-suite bedrooms are proposed at first floor level, staff accommodation, a hair salon and café space as well as communal lounge and dining spaces would be provided at ground floor level. The application also proposes to extend the parking area to the south of the site with ten additional car parking spaces, two of which would be allocated as disabled spaces.
The committee noted that part of the site lies outside the defined settlement policy boundary, but the entire site falls within the designated area of the Medstead and Four Marks Neighbourhood Plan.
