Initial assessment of complaint SC.003.25

The Assessment Sub-Committee considered a report by the Deputy Chief Executive regarding complaint SC.003.25.

Exclusion of public and press

The Assessment Sub-Committee resolved to exclude the public and press from the meeting while they discussed the complaints, as it was likely to involve the disclosure of exempt information relating to individuals, as defined in paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.

The Sub-Committee confirmed that the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighed the public interest in disclosing the information.

Review of previous complaints

The Assessment Sub-Committee reviewed the minutes of their meeting held on 19 March 2025, which concerned complaints SC.001.25 and SC.002.25.

The Sub-Committee had previously resolved that the Code of Conduct had not been breached in either case and that no further action should be taken. They also agreed that the Decision Notice should be sent to the Complainant and the Subject Member, and that the Decision Notice should not be published publicly.
