The Taxi and General Sub Committee of Caerphilly County Borough Council met on 11 September 2025 to discuss apologies for absence, declarations of interest, and the licensing of Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Vehicle Drivers. The meeting also considered whether to exclude the public from part of the meeting.
Exclusion of Public
The Taxi and General Sub Committee were scheduled to consider a report that, in the opinion of the Proper Officer1, might need to be discussed when the meeting was not open to the public. The committee were scheduled to consider whether the public interest required that the meeting should be closed to the public for consideration of this item. It was scheduled to be resolved that:
in accordance with Section 100A (4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public be excluded from the remainder of the meeting because of the likely disclosure to them of exempt information as identified in paragraph 12 of Part 4 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.
Licensing of Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Vehicle Drivers
The Taxi and General Sub Committee were scheduled to consider an application for the grant of a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire vehicle Driver licence.
