The Alcohol, Entertainment & Late Night Refreshment Licensing Sub-Committee of South Kesteven Council convened to consider an objection to a temporary event notice. The meeting was scheduled to be held at South Kesteven House in Grantham. Councillors were also asked to declare any interests in the matters to be discussed.
Licensing Act 2003: Temporary Event Notice
The committee was scheduled to consider a report, ENV916, from the Licensing Officer regarding an objection to a notification of a temporary event under section 104 of the Licensing Act 20031. It was anticipated that the press and public may be excluded from the meeting during the consideration of this item, because the report contained exempt information as described in paragraph 1 & 2 of the Local Government Act 19722.

Section 100A (4) of the Local Government Act 1972 allows a local authority to exclude the public from a meeting if publicity would be prejudicial to the public interest by reason of the confidential nature of the business to be transacted or for other special reasons stated in the resolution.
