The Licensing Sub-Committee (Regulatory) of Sheffield Council met on 29 September 2025 to discuss Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Licensing. The Licensing Sub-Committee was scheduled to review a report from the Chief Licensing Officer regarding individual cases related to Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Licensing. Due to the inclusion of exempt information, described in paragraphs 1 and 2 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972¹, this report was not available to the public.

Declarations of Interest

Councillors David Barker, Talib Hussain and Barbara Masters were expected to declare any personal or pecuniary interests² related to the items on the agenda. The advice to members on declaring interests at meetings document included in the agenda pack outlines the types of interests that must be declared, including disclosable pecuniary interests (DPIs) and personal interests. Councillors with a DPI must leave the room during discussion and voting on the relevant item.
