Summary

Recruitment of Chief Executive
The committee was scheduled to discuss the recruitment process for the post of Chief Executive. According to the agenda, the relevant report was not included in the public report pack because it was considered to contain exempt information, as defined in the Local Government Act 1972.
A previous meeting of the Appointments Committee on 18 September 2025 also included discussion of the recruitment and selection of a new Chief Executive. According to the minutes of that meeting, Tony Kavanagh, Assistant Director - HR and Organisational Support, presented a report to the committee, and members discussed the proposed process and timeline. Amendments to the recommendations were agreed.
