The Licensing and Environmental Regulation Committee of Bolton Council are scheduled to meet on Tuesday 7th October 2025. The meeting will consider an application for a new gaming machine permit, and also several instances of alleged misconduct by licensed private hire drivers.
Gaming Machine Permit
The committee are scheduled to discuss an application for a new gaming machine permit. The application is referenced as GA05/03/2025.
Private Hire Driver Misconduct
The committee are scheduled to exclude the press and public while they consider allegations of misconduct against licensed private hire drivers. This is because the discussion may involve the disclosure of exempt information. The specific reasons for the exclusions are cited as paragraph 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12(A) to the Local Government Act 1972, which relates to information about an individual's financial or business affairs.
