The Licensing Taxi Panel of Newport Council is scheduled to convene on 7 October 2025 to discuss a range of licensing matters. The panel will consider a revised Taxi Licensing Code of Practice, as well as several private hire and Hackney carriage licences. Private Hire and Hackney Carriage Licences
The panel is scheduled to review several applications for Private Hire and Hackney Carriage Licences. These include applications relating to AH, BJ, MI and MNA. These discussions are listed in the agenda for consideration in private, as they may involve the disclosure of information defined in Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 19721.
Taxi Licensing Code of Practice
The panel is scheduled to discuss the Taxi Licensing Code of Practice2. The agenda for the meeting indicates that this will be the first substantive item discussed by the panel.
