The East Hertfordshire Council Executive is scheduled to meet on 7 October 2025 to discuss financial reports, policy updates, and the annual procurement report. Medium Term Financial Plan
The Executive is scheduled to discuss the Medium Term Financial Plan 2026-2031, which sets out the council's financial strategy for the next five years. The plan is designed to address the financial challenges facing the council and ensure its long-term sustainability.
Financial Performance
Several reports relating to the council's financial performance are scheduled to be discussed. These include:
- Provisional Outturn 2024/25 & Draft Statement of Accounts 2024/25, which provides an overview of the council's financial performance for the previous year.
- Financial Management 2025/26 Quarter 1 Forecast to year end, which provides an update on the council's financial performance for the first quarter of the current financial year, and forecasts the year-end position.
- Treasury Management 2024/25 Outturn, which reviews the council's treasury management activities for the previous year. Treasury management refers to the strategies and practices used to manage an organisation's cash flow, investments, and financial risks1.
Review of Resident Permit Zone Policy
The Executive is scheduled to consider a review of the Resident Permit Zone Policy. This policy governs how parking permits are issued and managed in residential areas of East Hertfordshire to ensure that residents can park near their homes, while also managing traffic and parking demand.
Strategic Risk Register
The Executive is scheduled to review the Strategic Risk Register Monitoring Q1 2025/26. The register identifies the key risks facing the council and outlines the measures in place to manage them.
Draft Markets Policy
The Executive is scheduled to discuss the draft Markets Policy following a public consultation. This policy will set out the council's approach to managing and developing local markets within East Hertfordshire.
Gambling Act: Statement of Licensing Principles
The Executive is scheduled to discuss the draft Statement of Licensing Principles under the Gambling Act 2025-28. The Gambling Act 2005 is legislation that regulates gambling in Great Britain2. Licensing principles set out how the council will regulate gambling premises and activities within its area.
Annual Procurement Report
The Executive is scheduled to review the Annual Procurement Report. Procurement refers to the process of acquiring goods, services, or works from an external source3. The report provides an overview of the council's procurement activities over the past year.
