The Public Protection Sub-Committee of Trafford Council met on 9 October 2025. The Sub-Committee was scheduled to review a report from the Head of Regulatory Services regarding an application for a Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Drivers Licence. The report pack notes that this application exceeds the scheme of delegation¹.

Exclusion Resolution

The report pack included a motion to exclude the public from the meeting during consideration of some of the items on the agenda. The reason given for this exclusion was the potential disclosure of exempt information as defined in the Local Government Act 1972, Schedule 12A², as amended by The Local Government (Access to Information) (Variation) Order 2006.

Other Business

The agenda included standard items such as noting attendances, approving the minutes from the previous meeting held on 11 September 2025, and any urgent business. A 15-minute period was allocated for questions from members of the public, which had to be submitted in writing by 4pm on the working day prior to the meeting.
