The Planning Site Inspection of Herefordshire Council was scheduled to undertake site inspections at four locations on Tuesday 14 October 2025. According to the council's constitution, the purpose of site visits is fact finding, and no decision on the applications should be made until the meeting of the planning and regulatory committee at which the application is to be considered. The chairperson of the planning committee and the assistant director Environment and place determine which applications will be the subject of a prior site inspection.
Land to South of Rectory Lane, Cradley
A site inspection was scheduled to take place at 10:00 A.M. at land to the south of Rectory Lane, Cradley, Herefordshire, WR13 5LH. The inspection relates to application 242922, for the erection of two detached custom/self-build dwelling houses. The case officer, Amber Morris, was scheduled to meet councillors at the parking area near Cradley Post Office, postcode WR13 5LH, and walk with them to the site. Councillor Tully is the ward councillor.
Barns at Monksbury Court, Monkhide
A site visit was scheduled for 10:45 A.M. at Barns at Monksbury Court, Monkhide, Village Road, Monkhide, HR8 2TU. The inspection relates to application 223128, for the demolition of two agricultural buildings and the erection of four dwellinghouses with garages, landscaping and associated works. The case officer, Tracey Meachen, and Andrew Banks were scheduled to meet councillors at the site, with access from the A417. The meeting point is 100m to the north west of postcode HR8 2TT. The Cote, Lower Crossways Farm, Dorstone
A site visit was scheduled for 12:00 P.M. at The Cote, Lower Crossways Farm, Dorstone, Herefordshire, HR3 6AT. The inspection relates to application 251363, for the proposed conversion and extension of a field barn to a self-build dwelling and associated works (part retrospective). The case officer, Josh Bailey, was scheduled to meet councillors at the site, with access from the B4348. Councillor P Price is the ward councillor.
Land off Wellbrook Road, Peterchurch
A site visit was scheduled for 12:30 P.M. at land off Wellbrook Road, Peterchurch, Herefordshire. The inspection relates to application 243176, for the erection of an agricultural building on agricultural land. The case officer, Heloise Hardwick, was scheduled to meet councillors at the site, with access from Wellbrook Lane, also known as Watery Lane. Parking is limited, and car sharing from the village of Peterchurch was suggested. Councillor P Price is the ward councillor.
