The Standards Sub-Committee of Shropshire Council met on Wednesday 5 November 2025, to elect a chairman for the duration of the meeting and to consider a report regarding a code of conduct complaint. The public and press may have been excluded from the meeting for the discussion of the code of conduct complaint.
Code of Conduct Complaint
The Sub-Committee was scheduled to consider an exempt report from the Monitoring Officer, Tim Collard, Service Director – Legal, Governance and Planning, relating to a code of conduct complaint. The report pack included 178 pages pertaining to this complaint.
The agenda indicated that the press and public could be excluded from the meeting during the consideration of this item, citing Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 19721 and Paragraph 10.4 (3) of the Council's Access to Information Rules. The report pack notes that pages relating to this item were exempt by virtue of paragraphs 1, 2, and 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.
