Summary
The Highways Committee of Durham County Council is scheduled to meet on Monday 10 November 2025, to discuss a number of highways-related issues. Alleged Public Footpath, West Rainton
The committee will consider an application for a Definitive Map Modification Order1 (DMMO) relating to an alleged public footpath in West Rainton. The alleged footpath runs from Public Right of Way (PRoW) 2 The Dene to PRoW 21 The Red Track. The application has been made to Durham County Council to add the route to the definitive map. Gilesgate 20mph Zone
The Highways Committee will discuss a proposal to introduce a 20mph zone in Unc Musgrave Gardens, Gilesgate, including traffic calming measures. The report pack includes a final draft report on the Musgrave Gardens proposal.
Consett Parking Restrictions
The committee will also discuss proposed parking and waiting restrictions in Consett, which would be implemented through a Traffic Regulation Amendment Order. The report pack includes a committee report on the Consett proposals.
