Boston Council's cabinet has approved a proposal to the government for local government reorganisation in Greater Lincolnshire, aiming to meet the 28 November deadline. The council believes its proposal offers the best opportunity for the region.

Local Government Reorganisation in Greater Lincolnshire

The cabinet approved the Local Government Re-organisation proposal to Government for submission to the government. Councillor Dale Broughton, Leader, was authorised to make any necessary changes before submission.

The council believes that the Greater Lincolnshire for All proposal is considered to provide the best opportunity for Greater Lincolnshire . The alternative of not submitting a proposal was rejected because the council has a clear vision for local government reorganisation.

The proposal includes Appendix A - Local Government Re-organisation full proposal - doc 1 and Appendix A - Local Government Re-organisation full proposal - doc 2, detailing the full proposal. Appendix B - Local Government Re-organisation letter from Minister for Local Government was also included for reference.
