The Miscellaneous Licensing Committee of Cornwall Council met on Friday, 5th December 2025, to consider several licensing applications and reviews, as well as minutes from previous meetings. The committee was also scheduled to discuss the exclusion of the press and public from certain agenda items due to the confidential nature of the information to be disclosed.

Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Vehicle Licences

The committee was scheduled to consider several applications for the grant of Hackney Carriage¹ and Private Hire Vehicle Driver's Licences under the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 and the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976. These included:

• An application for the grant of a licence - WD214
• An application for the grant of a licence - WD215
• A review of a licence - WD216
• A review of a Hackney Carriage Vehicle Licence - WV169
• An application for the grant of a licence - CD288

Exclusion of Press and Public

The committee was asked to consider a resolution to exclude the press and public from the meeting for specific items. The reason cited for this exclusion was the likely disclosure of exempt information, specifically, information relating to an individual . The report pack noted that there had been compliance with the public interest test provisions in the Local Government Act 1972 in producing the report.
