School Transport Appeal - BF, Appeals Sub-Committee (School Transport) - Tuesday 9 December 2025 10.00 am
December 9, 2025 View on council websiteSummary
The Appeals Sub-Committee (School Transport) of Wiltshire Council is scheduled to convene to consider a school transport appeal. The meeting will also cover standard opening items, including the election of a chair. Due to the confidential nature of the appeal, the press and public may be excluded from the latter part of the meeting.
School Transport Appeal
The sub-committee will consider and determine a school transport appeal. Documentation for the meeting includes an officer's report, the appellant's submission and supporting evidence, and the council's transport policy and relevant laws.
The report pack includes a document titled Transport Policy and Law, which may be used to inform the discussion.
Exclusion of Press and Public
The sub-committee will consider a motion to exclude the press and public from the meeting during the discussion of the school transport appeal. This is because the report pack states that:
it is likely that if members of the public were present there would be disclosure to them of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1 and 2 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Act and the public interest in withholding the information outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information to the public.
Standard Opening Items
At the start of the meeting, the sub-committee will elect a chair for the meeting. Councillors will also be asked to declare any disclosable interests or dispensations granted by the Standards Committee1.
