January 21, 2026 at 7:30 pm View on council websiteSummary
The Heston and Cranford Area Forum meeting was scheduled to focus on Winter Wellbeing,
with an informal networking event preceding the formal proceedings. The agenda included updates from local community groups, a presentation on the Meadowbank Community Hub, and an open forum for residents to raise local issues.
Winter Wellbeing Informal Networking
Before the formal meeting, an informal networking event was scheduled with a focus on Winter Wellbeing.
This event aimed to connect residents with local community organisations and Council officers to discuss support available during the winter period. Marketplace-style stalls were planned, allowing residents to speak with representatives and councillors about local initiatives and individual concerns.
Community Spotlight: Hope Church
A presentation from Hope Church was scheduled as part of the Community Spotlight
segment. This would likely have provided an overview of the church's work and its contributions to the local community.
Meadowbank Community Hub Update
An update on the Meadowbank Community Hub was also on the agenda. This presentation would have provided information on the hub's activities, services, and any recent developments.
Open Forum
The Open Forum offered residents an opportunity to voice their ideas, concerns, and debate local topics with councillors and Council representatives. Participants were asked to note that questions would be at the Chair's discretion, and individual cases could not be discussed, but could be raised with ward members.
Area Forum Action Plan Update
An update on the Area Forum Action Plan was scheduled. While a full update might not always be available for the meeting, residents were directed to the Heston and Cranford Let's Talk
webpages for the most current information on action plan items. The previously discussed action plan items included enforcement of fly-tipping, addressing flooding issues, monitoring parking enforcement, seeking funding for Avenue Park, and plans for a new playground on Heston Farm Estate.
Next Meeting and Other Business
The date for the next scheduled meeting was noted as Wednesday, 18 March 2026, with the venue to be confirmed. The agenda also included a slot for any other business that the Chair considered urgent.
The meeting was scheduled to be recorded and published on the Council's YouTube channel. Attendees were reminded of the protocol for recording and reporting on public meetings. Guidance on declaring interests was also provided to committee members, outlining the procedures for disclosing pecuniary and other registerable interests.
