Review of Premises Licence for Chi Chi Dishes
The main item on the agenda is the review of the premises licence for Chi Chi Dishes, located at 29-31 Hare Street, Woolwich, London SE18 6NE. The application for review has been submitted by a local resident, Ms Polina Sasinovich, and is based on grounds relating to the licensing objectives of the prevention of crime and disorder, public safety, and the prevention of public nuisance.
The report pack details that the applicant's concerns include:
-
Frequent playing of loud music; Visitors / customers behaving loudly outside; Unruly parties held on 2nd and 8th August 2025; Poor parking of customer vehicles in Hare Street.

The report pack also outlines the current licence for Chi Chi Dishes, which authorises the sale and supply of alcohol, playing of recorded and live music, performance of dance, and provision of late-night refreshment. The history of the premises licence, including previous variations and noise complaints, is detailed. The report includes responses from the licensee, Miss Sophie Okoye, and formal responses from responsible authorities such as the Royal Borough of Greenwich Community Protection Team, London Fire Authority, and Royal Borough of Greenwich Public Health. The Police Licensing team conducted a visit and noted non-compliance issues with six of the licence conditions.
The Sub-Committee will consider the application and all representations made, with the power to modify the conditions of the premises licence, exclude a licensable activity, remove the Designated Premises Supervisor, suspend the licence for up to three months, or revoke the licence entirely. The decision will be made with a view to promoting the four licensing objectives: the prevention of crime and disorder, public safety, the prevention of public nuisance, and the protection of children from harm.
