The Pensions Board is scheduled to review project and work updates, including progress on the external audit, administration project migration, data improvement, risk register, and the Fit for the Future
initiative. The Board will also consider reports from previous Pensions Committee meetings.
Project and Work Updates
The Board's agenda includes a review of several ongoing projects and workstreams. These are:
- External Audit Progress: Information is scheduled to be presented regarding the progress of the external audit for the Pension Fund.
- Admin Project Migration Update: An update is expected on the migration of the administration project.
- Data Improvement Plan: The Board will receive information on the progress of the data improvement plan.
- Risk Register: An update on the Pension Fund's risk register is scheduled.
- Fit for the Future Update: The Board will be briefed on the
Fit for the Future
initiative.
Review of Pensions Committee Papers
The Board is scheduled to review public papers from several previous Pensions Committee meetings. These include:
- Papers from the meeting on 23 September 2025.
- Papers from the meeting on 5 November 2025.
- Papers from the meeting on 25 November 2025.
- Papers from the meeting on 10 December 2025.
- Papers from the meeting on 21 January 2026.
These papers are intended to allow the Pensions Board to Note the reports
1 from the Pensions Committee, as the Board has a broad remit to review the decision-making process of the Pensions Committee, particularly concerning scheme administration and governance.
Training Update
A discussion item is scheduled regarding training for Board members. This is a discussion item only, with no specific paper provided. The Board members will be kept informed of suitable training opportunities as they are identified, with potential future sessions on breaches being mentioned. One-to-one sessions may also be offered for those seeking clarity on regulatory or practice-related matters. Board members are encouraged to suggest specific areas where they would like training.
