The LGPS Local Pension Board is scheduled to meet on Thursday, 19 March 2026, to review updates on the Lincolnshire Pension Fund. The meeting agenda includes reports on the fund's performance, administration, business plan, and the outcomes of the 2025 actuarial valuation.
Pension Fund Update Report
The Board is scheduled to receive an update on the Lincolnshire Pension Fund for the quarter ending 30 December 2025. This report, presented by Jo Kempton, Head of Lincolnshire Pension Fund, will cover the fund's performance and any other current issues. The report is expected to detail updates on the Breaches Register, the Risk Register, and Asset Pooling. It will also address Pension Board membership and provide comments on Pensions Committee papers.
Pensions Administration Report
A report from Matt Mott, West Yorkshire Pension Fund, is scheduled to be presented, detailing the quarterly report of the Fund's administrator for the period of 1 October 2025 to 31 December 2025. This report will cover performance and benchmarking, scheme information, member and employer contact, internal dispute resolution procedures, and updates on shared services.
Lincolnshire Pension Fund – Business Plan
Jo Kempton, Head of Lincolnshire Pension Fund, will present the Lincolnshire Pension Fund Business Plan for consideration. This plan outlines the Fund's objectives for governance, investments and funding, and administration and communication for the financial years 2026/27, 2027/28, and 2028/29. It will also detail key risks and mitigation strategies.
Fit for the Future Compliance Matrix
Jo Kempton will also present a compliance matrix detailing the Fund's adherence to the new LGPS Regulations being introduced following the finalisation of the Pension Schemes Bill. This matrix will outline requirements, deadlines, the Fund's current position, risk ratings, mitigations, and compliance plans.
Whole Fund 2025 Valuation Report and Funding Strategy Statement
Claire Machej, Accounting, Investments and Governance Manager, will present the Actuarial Valuation Report as at 31 March 2025 and the Fund's final Funding Strategy Statement (FSS). The valuation report details the Fund's funding position, contribution rates, and sensitivities, while the FSS outlines the Fund's approach to meeting its liabilities and managing risks.
Work Plan and Training Needs
Claire Machej will also present a report inviting the Board to consider its work programme and training needs. This includes reviewing progress on mandatory training for Board members, such as the Hymans Robertson LGPS Online Learning Academy (LOLA), and discussing future training requirements and the Board's work plan.
Training: Cyber Security Training (West Yorkshire Pension Fund)
An exempt report from Elizabeth Boardall, Chief Technology, Projects and Communications Officer – WYPF, is scheduled to be received, presenting information on the cyber security arrangements in place at WYPF. This item is considered exempt information and the public may be excluded from the meeting for its discussion.
