Major International Event Investment

From: Business, Cabinet - Monday 20th October, 2025 6.00 pm - October 20, 2025

Newcastle City Council have submitted key information to form a bid for Newcastle to be a host city for a key international event. The council will need to make a financial commitment towards the cost of the host city requirements.   In order to proceed we must also sign a host city agreement. A decision is required to make the financial commitment and sign the host city agreement following approvals from legal services.
