The Economy, Infrastructure and Communities Overview and Scrutiny Committee met on Thursday 16 April 2026 to discuss the draft Economic Strategy, the promotion of workplace opportunities for young people, the Libraries Strategy, and the Flood Risk Management Strategy. Key decisions included the recommendation to invite the Leader and Cabinet Member for Economy and Skills to provide six-monthly updates on the Economic Strategy's delivery and annual updates on young people not in education, employment, or training (NEET). The committee also agreed to promote the Libraries Strategy and support the Community Managed Library model. An annual update on the Flood Risk Management Strategy was received, along with support for the FAIR Project.

The Charities and Trusts Committee of Staffordshire Council met on Tuesday 11 November 2025 to approve the annual accounts for 13 educational endowment charities and to grant a licence for alterations at Queen Elizabeth Mercian School. The committee approved the annual accounts for the endowment charities and agreed to a licence for the installation of solar panels at the school.
