Royal Wootton Bassett and Cricklade Area Board - Wednesday 24 September 2025 6.30 pm

At a meeting of the Royal Wootton Bassett and Cricklade Area Board, Councillor Nick Dye resigned as chairman, and Councillor Andrew Matthews was elected as the new chairman. Councillors also approved funding for Cricklade Cinema and 2nd Cricklade Scout Group, and heard updates from the Police and Crime Commissioner for Wiltshire, Philip Wilkinson, and Inspector Scott Anger of Wiltshire Police.

Licensing Committee - Monday 15 September 2025 10.30 am

The Licensing Committee met on 15 September 2025 and discussed a range of licensing issues, including primate licensing, updates from the police, passenger transport, public protection and taxi licensing teams. The committee also approved the minutes of the previous meetings.

Wiltshire Police and Crime Panel - Thursday 11 September 2025 10.00 am

The Wiltshire Police and Crime Panel met to discuss police performance, financial pressures, and community safety partnerships. The panel received updates on crime statistics, call answering times, and initiatives to reduce violence and anti-social behaviour. Members also discussed the financial challenges facing Wiltshire Police and the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC), and the need for a sustainable financial strategy.

Council - Tuesday 22 July 2025 10.30 am

Wiltshire Council met on 22 July 2025, and among the topics discussed were youth services, treasury management, a bat mitigation strategy, and a motion to repudiate the council's climate emergency declaration. Councillors also debated and voted on motions regarding weight limits on roads and the Ask Angela scheme.

Review of Premises Licence following a Closure Order by the Magistrates Court - 7 Days, 7 Wicker Hill, Trowbridge, Western Area Licensing Sub Committee - Thursday 10 July 2025 10.30 am

The Western Area Licensing Sub Committee was scheduled to convene to review the premises licence for 7 Days Trowbridge Ltd, following a closure order issued by Salisbury Magistrates Court. The meeting was to consider representations from responsible authorities and the premises licence holder, and determine whether to modify, suspend, or revoke the licence. The sub committee was also scheduled to elect a chair for the meeting.
