Review and Update to the Anti-Social Behaviour Policy
From: Constitution - Monday, 27th October, 2025 - October 27, 2025
Following a review of the Anti-Social Behaviour Policy the Head of Crawley Homes (following consultation with the Cabinet Member for Housing) updated the Policy to align with the Council’s current approach to responding to Anti-social Behaviour. The changes to the Policy were also shared with the Cabinet Member for Public Protection. Below is a summary of key changes to the policy and the sections in the policy that cover this point. We felt that the previous policy was not clear enough about: What is considered Anti-social Behaviour and what is not? (Paragraphs 3.1, 3.2, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3 and Appendix A). What you can expect when contacting the service? (Sections 8 and 10). What is expected of users of the service in relation to the information we need so that we can investigate ASB reports (Section 7, and Paragraphs 10.2, 10.3, 10.4, 11.1 & 11.2) Partners we may work with to remedy the ASB. (Section 12). Remedies & enforcement we may use to resolve ASB. (Paragraph 2.5, Section 9 and Appendix C). Details on ASB Case review & complaints (Sections 13,14 and 18). We have amended our policy to make these points clearer. We have also updated the Policy to take into account recommendations from the Housing Ombudsman to landlords about responding to anti-social behaviour (Paragraphs 2.2, 2.4, and Sections 5, 6 and 7).
