Licensing Sub-Committee - Tuesday 22nd July, 2025 10.30 am
The Licensing Sub-Committee convened to review an application for a new premises licence for Atmosphere Restaurant at 218 Burnt Oak Broadway, Edgware. The committee ultimately decided not to grant the licence, citing concerns about potential public nuisance due to noise and the applicant's failure to provide adequate evidence to mitigate these concerns. Councillor Claire Farrier was appointed Chairman for the meeting.

The Licensing Sub-Committee of Barnet Council met to discuss an application for a new Adult Gaming Centre Licence for Palace Amusements at 4-6 North End Road, Golders Green. Despite objections from local residents, the sub-committee granted the licence, subject to mandatory conditions and additional conditions agreed with the police.

The Licensing Sub-Committee met to consider an application from Power Leisure Bookmakers Limited, trading as Paddy Power, for a variation to their betting premises licence at 76 Ballards Lane in Finchley. The application was for approval of alterations to the layout of the premises. After hearing from the applicant and considering written representations from local residents, the Sub-Committee resolved to grant the application with mandatory conditions.

Licensing Sub-Committee - Tuesday 4th February, 2025 10.30 am
The Sub-Committee granted the application for a new Adult Gaming Centre Licence for Little Vegas, 4 - 6 Cricklewood Lane London NW2 1EX subject to mandatory conditions applied by the Council and the conditions agreed with the Metropolitan Police. There were representations from the Council's Public Health department, two local ward councillors, and thirty-four local residents objecting to the application. Their concerns were primarily about the location of the premises on a school route and the advertising in the windows of the premises, and the protection of children and other vulnerable people from harm.
