Standards Committee - Wednesday 9 July 2025 6.00 pm

The Lambeth Council Standards Committee met to discuss member training and standards. Councillors agreed to note the progress of the Member Learning Development programme and the annual member complaints report. They also agreed to recommend that the cross-party Member Learning and Development Working Group continue to facilitate the development and delivery of the Member Induction programme following the 2026 local elections, as well as the ongoing Member Learning and Development Programme.

Licensing Sub-Committee - Thursday 3 July 2025 7.00 pm

The Lambeth Council Licensing Sub-Committee met to consider a new premises licence for Walcott Stores and a variation application for Supercute. The committee granted the licence for Walcott Stores subject to amended hours and additional conditions. A decision on the Supercute application was deferred for up to five working days.

Licensing Sub-Committee - Thursday 12 June 2025 7.00 pm

The Lambeth Council Licensing Sub-Committee convened to discuss a new premises licence for a rooftop bar and event space, and a review of an existing premises licence for a tapas bar. The committee decided to grant the premises licence for Waterloo Rooftop with amended hours and additional conditions to address concerns raised by objectors. However, the committee resolved to revoke the premises licence for Aquarium Tapas Bar due to repeated breaches of licensing conditions and a lack of confidence in the management's ability to uphold the licensing objectives.

Licensing Sub-Committee - Wednesday 21 May 2025 7.00 pm

The Lambeth Council Licensing Sub-Committee met to discuss a licensing application for Brixton Kebab, and to consider a previously adjourned application for Quick Stop. The committee granted the application for Brixton Kebab, subject to additional conditions. The application for Quick Stop was adjourned to a later date.

Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday 20 May 2025 7.00 pm

The Lambeth Overview and Scrutiny Committee met to discuss invoices, debts owed to the council, and the management of council assets. The committee agreed to improve communication with advice agencies, reduce the use of bailiffs, and ensure timely payments to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). They also discussed the need for greater transparency and a more uniform approach to lease agreements for voluntary and community sector (VCS) organisations.
