The Overview and Scrutiny Management Committee of Wiltshire Council was scheduled to meet on Wednesday 28 January 2026 to review the council's performance and risk monitoring for the third quarter of the 2025/26 financial year. The committee was also set to consider the executive's response to recommendations from a rapid scrutiny exercise on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), discuss a proposal for a task group to review Area Board grant funding, and receive updates from various task groups and select committees.
Extraordinary Meeting, Council - Wednesday 7 January 2026 10.30 am
Wiltshire Council's extraordinary meeting on 7 January 2026 saw a significant debate on the proposed disposal of St Stephen's Multi-Storey Car Park in Trowbridge, which was ultimately defeated by a tied vote. Councillors also discussed and approved an extension to the council tax premium on long-term empty homes, but rejected a proposal to introduce a premium on second homes.
Western Area Planning Committee - Wednesday 17 December 2025 3.00 pm
The Western Area Planning Committee are scheduled to meet to discuss planning appeals and updates, and to consider planning applications relating to a dog exercise field in Hilperton, and a change of use of land and proposed annexe in Crockerton.
Warminster Area Board - Thursday 11 December 2025 7.00 pm
The Warminster Area Board was scheduled to meet to discuss community grant funding, updates from partners such as Wiltshire Police, and local priorities including fire awareness and access to green spaces. Councillors were also expected to review the minutes of the Local Highways and Footpath Improvement Group (LHFIG). A briefing note on the Wiltshire Council Parking Plan 2026-2030 was also included.
