Highways and Transport Scrutiny Committee - Monday, 23rd June, 2025 11.00 am
The Highways and Transport Scrutiny Committee met to discuss the Winter Service Plan, gully cleansing and drainage, and the committee's work programme. The committee supported the recommendations for the Winter Service Plan to be put to the Executive Councillor, and requested that their comments be shared for consideration. The committee also agreed to support the report on gully cleansing and drainage, and requested that the discussion be shared across relevant teams and passed on to the portfolio holder.
Health Scrutiny Committee for Lincolnshire - Wednesday, 11th June, 2025 11.00 am
The Health Scrutiny Committee for Lincolnshire met to discuss general practice provision in the county, arrangements for quality accounts, and the committee's work programme. The committee noted reports on GP provision from NHS Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) and the Lincolnshire Local Medical Committee (LMC), and agreed to request further reports in six months. Members also agreed to establish a working group to consider draft statements on quality accounts from Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust and United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

Councillor Steve Bunney was elected as the new Chairman of the council, and Councillor Mike Beecham was appointed as Vice Chairman. Councillors debated and voted on amendments to the council's constitution, including the structure of scrutiny committees, but ultimately approved the proposed changes. Councillor Sean Matthews was elected as the Leader of the Council, and he outlined his priorities for the coming term, including reducing council debt and protecting Lincolnshire's countryside.
