Adult Social Care, Health and Communities Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday 2nd September 2025 6.00 pm

The Adult Social Care, Health and Communities Overview and Scrutiny Committee of West Northamptonshire Council met on 2 September 2025 to discuss the Northamptonshire Integrated Care Board, neighbourhood health, public health, and the committee's work programme. The committee was scheduled to receive presentations on the development and priorities of the Northamptonshire Integrated Care Board, and on the work of Integrated Care Northamptonshire to develop and deliver neighbourhood-based health and care services. The agenda included the presentation of annual reports from overview and scrutiny committees, a review of the council's flag protocol, and a discussion on setting allowances for council members. Councillors were also expected to discuss regional devolution, youth services, and support for children in care.

The Adult Social Care, Health and Communities Overview and Scrutiny Committee were scheduled to meet to discuss their remit, key priorities, risks, and challenges for service areas, and to develop a work programme for the 2025-26 municipal year. The meeting was to include an overview of adult social care and community safety, with public health and culture, leisure, and communities to be discussed at a later meeting.

The West Northamptonshire Council meeting scheduled for 15 May 2025 included the election of a chair and vice-chair, the appointment of a leader, and the allocation of seats to committees based on political balance. Councillors were also expected to note the names of the leaders and deputy leaders of the political groups, as well as the members of the Cabinet.
