The Wandsworth Council's Health and Children's Overview and Scrutiny Committees met to discuss the interim report from the Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Task and Finish Group, which is working to identify opportunities for early intervention and prevention of violence against women and girls. Councillors provided feedback on the report, suggested additional stakeholders to engage, and highlighted priority areas within VAWG. The committee agreed to move forward with the final report in February.

The Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee (OSC) met to discuss mental health services provided by the South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust (SWLSTG), a draft public mental health action plan, the Care Quality Commission's (CQC) assessment of adult social care, and the annual complaints report for adult social care. The committee noted the reports and discussed next steps.

Wandsworth Council

Wandsworth Council met to discuss community safety, diversity, and local services. Councillors approved the extension of the borough's Public Space Protection Order[^2] (PSPO) and debated motions on community tensions and housing. A vote was held to dispose of the remaining agenda items, effectively ending debate on several motions.

The Wandsworth Council Safer Neighbourhood Board met to discuss crime statistics, alternative reporting methods, and support for victims of hidden abuse. The board reviewed crime data, heard presentations on video appointments and hidden abuse, and discussed questions submitted for the Superintendent for Wandsworth. The next meeting is scheduled for 9 December 2025.

The Transport Overview and Scrutiny Committee met to discuss electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, school streets, and the committee's work programme. The committee agreed to apply for a government grant to trial cross-pavement charging gullies[^2] and requested that officers explore a trial of the scheme, prioritising blue badge holders, and then report back to the committee. The committee also discussed expanding the school streets programme to secondary and independent schools.
