Audit, Risk and Governance Committee - Monday, 13th October, 2025 2.00 pm

The Audit, Risk and Governance Committee met to discuss external and internal audit reports, the risk management strategy, and the corporate risk and opportunity register. The committee approved the new risk management strategy and the updated corporate risk and opportunity register. Members requested more information on school places, local transport funding, and subcontractor costs.

Pension Fund Committee - Friday, 19th September, 2025 10.30 am

The Lancashire County Council Pension Fund Committee met to discuss responsible investment, review the draft funding strategy statement, and address an urgent matter regarding the McCloud remedy[^2] and reporting requirements. The committee also reviewed pension-related training for its members and the Pension Fund Annual Report 2024/25.

Regulatory Committee - Wednesday, 17th September, 2025 10.30 am

The Regulatory Committee of Lancashire County Council met to discuss several matters relating to public rights of way, including definitive map modification orders and diversion of footpaths. The committee approved making orders for changes to public footpaths and bridleways at Higher Simpson Fold, Eyes Lane, Coronation Field, Written Stone Farm and The Weald. They also discussed a progress report on previous committee items and guidance for committee members.

Children, Families and Skills Scrutiny Committee - Wednesday, 10th September, 2025 10.30 am

The Children, Families and Skills Scrutiny Committee met to discuss the Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Priority Action Plan, the SEND Strategy, and the SEND Local Offer. Councillors agreed to set up an online meeting to discuss the SEND strategy before it goes to cabinet in October, and requested an update in January on the reduction of the casework backlog. The committee also requested more information on support for siblings of children with SEND, and for parents who do not have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

Audit, Risk and Governance Committee - Monday, 21st July, 2025 2.00 pm

The Lancashire County Council's Audit, Risk and Governance Committee met on 21 July 2025, to discuss the statement of accounts, external audit plans, treasury management, procurement and internal audit reports. The committee was asked to approve the Internal Audit Charter and Mandate and the Internal Audit Strategy 2025–2028, and to consider and comment on the other reports.
