Pension Fund Committee - Friday, 12th December, 2025 10.30 am

The Lancashire County Council Pension Fund Committee is scheduled to meet on 12 December 2025 to discuss a range of topics, including pension-related training for committee members, budget monitoring, responsible investments, and the Local Pensions Partnership annual report. The committee will also discuss the Funding Strategy Statement consultation, which is key to determining employer pension contribution rates for 2026-2029. The Full Council of Lancashire Council is scheduled to meet on 20 November 2025 to discuss local government reorganisation, committee appointments, and updates to the council's constitution. The meeting will also address questions from councillors and consider several notices of motion. Reports from the cabinet and various committees are also scheduled to be noted.

The Lancashire County Council Pension Fund Committee met to discuss responsible investment, review the draft funding strategy statement, and address an urgent matter regarding the McCloud remedy[^2] and reporting requirements. The committee also reviewed pension-related training for its members and the Pension Fund Annual Report 2024/25.

Full Council - Thursday, 17th July, 2025 1.00 pm

Lancashire County Council's Full Council met on 17 July 2025, and among other things, approved the Lancashire Child and Youth Justice Plan 2025-26, and agreed to review its policy on flying flags over council property, prioritising the Union Flag, the Flag of England, the Lancashire Flag, royal flags, and military flags and ensigns. The council also discussed the financial challenges it faces, and heard questions from councillors and members of the public.
